Clean and Clear Moisturzer

Intro

I chose these products clean and clear dual lotion and Vaseline because for a while I was struggling with my skin. It would be lotion that made my face to oily and it would be lotion that were thin and made my face dry and I would break out because I have sensitive skin. I'm trying to see what dual does that makes my skin feel moisturized but feel so light.

Chemistry

Salicylic Acid is a beta hydroxy acid that occurs as a natural compound in a plant. Salicylic Acid is made from willow bark and it was made to ease pain and reduce fevers in China and Europe. It also helps unclog pores but if you stop using it your skin will clog.

Dicaprylyl Ether
Its a skin conditioning agent from caprylic acid, fatty acid found in coconut and palm kernel oils. It makes you sin soft and makes it feel silky. Its in natural strength deodorants which helps to make your skin smooth.

Magnesium Aluminum Silicate
Its a mineral derived from orses of smectite clay. It seems to be powdery and a dry feeling.  It helps increase the agent which means which means to make it thicker. Its absorbent, and a stabilizer.












Experiment


Procedure

1.) I wash my face with soap

2.)I wipe the soap off with a hot rag

3.) Lastly I put the moisturizer on my face

Description
When I use my clean and clear dual moisturizer my skin felt very smooth and silky in the beginning but overtimes it started to feel dry.When I used Vaseline by skin felt very oily in the beginning. All through the day my skin didn't feel dry it was moisturized.

Suggestion for Improvement
If I wanted to improve clean and clear dual moisturizer I would put shea butter in it because it could disappear black heads and make you face glow. It also is not that oily for your skin.

Maybelline Fit me! Foundation vs. NYX Matte Foundation

Starting out with this project I didn't really know what to do. I was going between hair products or skin care products. Ultimately, I decided to do an experiment about foundations because my mother and I use two different foundations and come out with different outcomes. My mother uses NYX: Stay Matte But Not Flat foundation while I use Maybelline Fit me! Foundation. The prices aren't that different but Maybelline is cheaper than NYX. Name brand Vs. Beauty supply store foundation   For most of my teenage and more frugal years I’ve always used drugstore makeup.
