Cocamide Mea- help enhances a cleaning agent’s properties. Has a deadly cousin (please don't get them confused)
Cocamidopropyl Betaine-  a foam booster
Sodium Laureth Sulfate - Helpful in removing oils and residue. It's also the reason why lather is super foamy.
Phenoxyethanol - often used as an antibacterial agent. Usually used in concentrations of 1% or less
Polyquaternium-7 -  Its uses include making hair antistatic and forming a layer of film on the hair and scalp. The layer is hydrophilic which keeps moisture in.

Proposed Improvement
Creme Of Nature Argan Oil Shampoo- This shampoo left the hair feeling dry which means this shampoo probably isn’t meant for moisturization. The worst of the three shampoos didn’t help its case when having some chemicals harmful to the environment and chemicals harmful to the human body and skin. This shampoo has a chemical called Methylchloroisothiazolinone and this can cause nerve damage and mild skin irritation. Also, there another chemical called Sodium Hydroxide and this can cause burning in muscle tissue and can leading to severe eye damage when comes in contact with eyes. Methylisothiazolinone is a chemical similar to Methylchloroisothiazolinone, but it's very toxic to the lungs and can cause allergic reactions. Maybe use some chemicals less harmful to the environment and body.

Renewing+Argan Oil Of Morocco Shampoo- This shampoo left the hair feeling softer and more moisturized when compared to the Creme Of Nature Argan Oil Shampoo. Even though this is way better than Creme of Nature Argan Oil Shampoos, some chemicals are harmful to the environment and to humans. Dmdm hydantoin is a chemical that is very toxic to humans who have sensitive skin. Also, this chemical can toxic to the environment and water supply. Maybe use something less harmful to the environment.
Dark And Lovely AU Naturale Anti Shrinkage Hydrating Soak Shampoo- This shampoo left the hair feeling very soft and moisturized when compared to Renewing+Argan Oil Of Morocco and Creme of Nature Argan Oil Shampoos. However, some ingredients in it are harmful to humans. It's not harmful in the amounts found in shampoo but maybe a change would be for the best. For instance, Phenoxyethanol. This chemical is known to cause damage to organs, brain cells, and even the central nervous system. It's not exaggerated to say that in unhealthy amounts this chemical could kill a person. Maybe try to find some alternatives that aren't so harmful to the human body.

Experiment
  1. Separate the hair in three equal parts
  2. Choose a section of hair and wet it
  3. Use 2-3 pumps/squirts of shampoo of choice
  4. Lather in the shampoo
  5. Detangle the hair
  6. Rinse
  7. Repeat steps 2-6
  8. Feel the different sections for the level of moisture

Starting out with this project I didn't really know what to do. I was going between hair products or skin care products. Ultimately, I decided to do an experiment about foundations because my mother and I use two different foundations and come out with different outcomes.
