Does Cetaphil Gentle Face Scrub Moisture Better Than Noxzema?

A normal morning routine for me is using Noxzema every morning before school. When given this project I remembered a famous product called Cetaphil and wondered which product was better. Both products can moisturize but in their own ways. When doing this experiment I thought about the oils and dirt trapped within a face and wanted to see which product not only moisturized but also cleaned to.

Chemistry Research
In Cetaphil you have the ingredients, water, cocamidopropyl betaine, coco glucoside, sodium hydroxide. Sodium hydroxide comes from a electrolytic chlor alkali  process. Sodium hydroxide can harm the environment and it’s water system if to much was placed into it. Sodium hydroxide can also harm humans by decomposing the protein and lipids in the living tissues. The product cocamidopropyl betaine comes from coconut oil. Some harms that cocamidopropyl betaine can have on humans are allergic reactions. No environmental harms.

Environmental: N/A

Experimental Procedure
Every morning I would use Noxzema and Cetaphil before bed. After each wash I would moisturize my face with coconut oil. For 4 days straight I continue to do this Strategy. When arriving to school I would use the moisturizer tester to find out how moisturized my face is.

After day 4 I notice that the data was almost the same and nothing have changed between the two products.

Proposed Improvement
Some improvements that I could make with this experiment is using one product one day and the other 2-3 days later so to find a true result. I feel as though my result were off because I used both products in the same day. Other improvements I’d have are to try to use a greater quality moisturizer tester. The moisturizer tester that I was given was kind of cheap so I didn’t know if my data was accurate.

Maybelline Fit me! Foundation vs. NYX Matte Foundation

Starting out with this project I didn't really know what to do. I was going between hair products or skin care products. Ultimately, I decided to do an experiment about foundations because my mother and I use two different foundations and come out with different outcomes.
