Since I began washing my hair I've always used TRESemme shampoo. I also tried other shampoos too. But I always wondered why the product TRESemme is the only shampoo that keeps my hair moist and strengthen. Also, why this product leaves my hair so shiny and tone downs frizzy hair. To put this claim to rest I conducted an experiment to test if different brands of shampoo take longer to wash out foam slower or faster.

To start let's take a look at some of the chemicals in TRESemme shampoo is Sodium lauryl Sulfate which acts as a foaming agent. Sodium lauryl Sulfate produces a lot of foam. It used in shampoo and other cosmetic and dish soap to remove oil stains and residues. is the formula. It is also a tested pharmaceuticals and toothpaste, used as a research tool in protein biochemistry. Sodium lauryl sulfate is a good cleaning product but harmful because it irritates the skin.

Next up, let's take a look at a formula chemical in my shampoo ingredient list Biotin. This chemical is responsible for energizing the scalp and give you thick and long hair. It is a growth supplement and helps break down proteins biotin helps you maintain healthy looking hair making hair not look brittle and dull. You need at least 240mg of biotin for hair growth daily which that is mixed in with TRESemme Shampoo if you don't get enough you may have thinning and discoloration of the hair.

Lastly, another important chemical substance hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride is a great conditioning agent for skin and hair. This chemical is beneficial for hair because it is positively charged or cationic. It neutralizes the negative charges on hair strands that cause hair to become tangled or static. Also, hydroxypropltrimonium chloride is really safe and nonirritant and biodegradable. Lastly, substance chemical structure has four carbon groups attached to a positively charged nitrogen.

PERSONAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY

Sodium laurel sulfate: strong irritant and produces nitrosamine that is a substance linked to cancer information.

DMDM hydantoin: is sometimes considered dangerous because of its toxic formaldehyde component. Although it is approve to be safe it cause irritation or an allergic reaction on sensitive skin.

Fragrance: Highly toxic. Usually contain phthalates which help the scents last longer. They toxic because they can pass from skin and into the blood stream.

EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE

TRESemme
1. Wet participant hair

2. Add 3 teaspoons of TRESemme.

3. Time how long foam takes to wash out.

Ogx beauty pure and simple

1. Wet participant hair

2. Add 3 teaspoons of Ogx Shampoo

3. Time how long foam takes to wash out.


Alberto V05

1. Wet Participant hair

2. Add 3 teaspoons of Alberto V05

3. Time how long foam takes to wash out



Results :

TRESemme: 20.71 (large amount of foam)

Alberto V05: 36.40 (large amount of foam)

Ogx beauty pure and simple: 24:33 ( less foam)

My results showed the more foam that stays in your hair and longer the process takes to wash out hair  means that your hair is getting clean more. Sodium laurel sulfate is included in the ingredients of both Alberto V05 and TRESemme this shows that because of sulfate hair is more vibrant and cleaner.

This shampoo is really good but the personal safety hazards need work they should make use less chemicals that irritate skin and cause substances to go into blood streams not only is that affecting the outside of the body the chemicals used can have learn term effects on consumers.
